Stomach Pain and Constipation
Due to Mucus Drainage

Stomach pain and constipation combination is absolutely horrible! Not being able to relieve yourself is the worse feeling of all. I’ve been there and so has my 6-year old son …ugh…no fun at all!

My 6-year-old would say, “Mommy my stomach hurts” and would often strain to go to the bathroom. I felt so bad to see him in pain.  Having a debilitating pain from not being able to pass bowels made me feel terrible as well.

Are You Having Stomach Pain Similar to Mine?

I wasn’t quite sure where it was stemming from since I was a pretty, healthy eater and exercised. I of course indulged at times but nonetheless, a good, conscientous eater.

To ease my stomach pain and to eradicate my constipation, I began to take

  • fiber pills,
  • probiotics,
  • gas-x

and anything that I thought would help me but to no avail, they would help for a little while but then stop. I would have awful stomach gas especially in the mornings before even eating anything.

My stomach pain would come and go but starting coming more often and anything that I ate caused my stomach to hurt. I would also have pressure in my rectal area, which gave me the urge to go but I couldn't or if tried just tiny little balls would emerge. I still felt bloated with so much pain. Oh my frustration!

Medical Tests Clear

I was sent to go see a gastroenterologist, procedures were done and tests were ran, which all came back clear. I had ultrasounds done, which were clear. A doctor prescribed me medication but it did not work. I was very frustrated!

And then for my son, the doctor could not find anything wrong and just said he was constipated. His doctor told me to give him miralax and no milk for a week but the pain, which felt like rocks he would say, always came back.

Stomach Pain and Constipation Resolved..Yay!

The pain that we both were experiencing was from backed up mucus. Who would have thought! But it made sense. We were both having the same type of pain.

We both suffer terribly from allergies and are constantly congested especially over night. We were both taking allergy medication while also getting allergy shots at the time. The only issue was that we weren’t clearing the mucus out of our sinuses completely, which would lead to mucus draining into our stomachs.

Hence the Neti Pot!

This is where the neti pot comes in, one of the best things invented!

I use mine everyday and it helps get all of the mucus out. I help our son use his about once a week, or when needed. He dislikes using it but loves the affect it has once the mucus has ascended up from his stomach. He tells me he feels so much better afterwards and that makes me happy!

You don't have to continue to suffer from a combination of stomach pain constipation if it stems from mucus drainage, We found relief and so can you!
