Stomach Pain And Probiotics

Stomach pain and probiotics are two topics that many are researching these days.

I know first hand about both since I've experienced awful stomach pain while also ensuring that I take my probiotics on a regular basis.

Remember to always consult your physician to rule out anything that may be serious.

Why Probiotics?

Stomach pain and probiotics?  Well stomach pain is definitely no fun!! but what I've discovered is that healthy bacteria promotes a balanced belly which in return can combat stomach pain especially when taken on a regular basis.

Probiotics balances the tummy by replenishing it with healthy bacteria.

The use of antibiotics causes the stomach to become unbalanced by depleting both the good and bad bacteria.

Long term/Continuous use of antibiotics as I've experienced due to countless ear infections has caused my stomach to be unaligned so now I am repairing it with the use of probiotics.

Stomach Pain and Probiotics vs Yogurt

Yogurt is one source to get a daily dose of probiotics.

But for some, like myself, who have allergies toward dairy, yogurt may not be the source of choice.

So instead of eating yogurt daily, I take a probiotic supplement every morning in order to maintain a balanced, aligned tummy.

I must say in order for it to be effective, like any other supplement, it must be taken on a regular basis, preferably on an empty stomach.

Why I Started Taking Probiotics

I started taking probiotics a couple of years.  When I first started I was not consistent and really could not determine if they were working or not.

I decided to start taking them because of my bouts with my stomach pain while also not wanting to take any more medication to remedy my pain since the medication that I was prescribed was not helping.

For about a year, I've tried to  be consistent with taking them everyday and have felt an improvement with my stomach.  I also must add that I take other supplements than just probiotics which I feel as a whole has helped me balance my stomach.

Probiotics After Taking Antibiotics

Knock on wood, I have not been on antibiotics for quite some time, either has my kiddos but if that ever occurs again, probiotics are so important after the antibiotics have been completed to ensure the healthy bacteria is put back in its place.
