Food-Allergy Attacks

Food-allergy attacks can be mild to life threatening depending on the individual, so always seek medical attention if you or someone is experiencing symptoms you are not familiar with to include but not limited to:

  • Shortness of breath
  • Uncontrollable itchiness
  • Swelling of the face and/or lips

Some of these symptoms such as hives may not seem or appear to be life threatening initially but it could be a warning or may preclude to more threatening symptoms. So to be safe, always seek medical attention or contact your physician.

Non Life Threatening Food-Allergy Attacks That I Experience

My food-allergy attacks are not life threatening.  I consider them to be moderate.  Depending on what I’m allergic to, I can experience

  • tingling of the lips and mouth,
  • rash break out (eczema),
  • throat swelling but not to the point in which I can’t breathe,
  • itchiness of the throat or roof of mouth,
  • sneezing, nasal congestion, itchy eyes, etc.

Some foods I’m highly allergic to than others such as almonds and barley.  So I’m really careful about not eating those foods.  If I eat those foods, I have the potential to experience all of those symptoms I just listed.

Stomach Pain and Food-Allergy

Before I discovered I had food allergies, I would have the worse stomach pain and could not figure out what was wrong with me.

My severe stomach pain consisted of

  • fullness,
  • bloating
  • trapped gas and eventually the urge to pass bowels but could not--All due to mucus accumulation as well as bowel accumulation in my stomach.

When I take the necessary steps to rid my body of excess mucus which includes using the neti pot, bowels and trapped gas are able to pass.

In addition to the neti, I also discovered a wonderful food allergies treatment.  Click here to learn more.

If you are suffering from unexplained severe stomach pain, think about  visiting an allergist to have allergy testing competed.

If this is not an option, start keep a food journal to determine food you may be allergic to.  These are some foods that have a slight allergy towards but have been able to enjoy them occasionally due to taking probiotics and digestive enzymes:

  • chocolate
  • mushrooms
  • turkey
  • and cheese just to name a few
